Private Event - GGIA Hike & Paint 8/23/25 @ Westshore Trail in Hyalite Canyon 10:00-2:00 PM
Private event for Girl Get After It members!
Join me for a hike and paint in Hyalite Canyon! This is an “en plein air” painting class, meaning we will paint “in the open air” and create the beautiful scenery in front of us.
What I will bring: Upon arrival, I’ll provide each artist with a drawstring pack. Inside you’ll find:
A standing easel
Water cup
Brushes
Paint palette
Blank canvas
Hike details: We will meet at the Hyalite Day Use Area at 10:00 am. We’ll take off from the parking lot at 10:15, sharp, and hike to the far end of the Westshore Trail Loop. The entire hike is 2.8 miles from start to finish with 275 ft of elevation change, and is rated “easy.”
Event duration (~4 hours):
Hike in (relaxed pace) ~ 1 hour
Paint ~ 2 hours
Hike out (relaxed pace) ~1 hour
What YOU need to bring (you can put these items in the backpack provided):
1 liter of drinking water
Snacks/ lunch
Comfortable hiking shoes
Hat/visor (highly recommend this one)!
Sunglasses
Sunscreen
* Important note: You can adjust the height of your easel, meaning you can sit or stand. If you have a lightweight camp chair that you’re comfortable packing in, feel free to bring it along.
* If weather prevents us from painting I will email you the night before the event with a back-up date. If you can’t attend the rescheduled event I will provide a refund.
